Rosemarie Cox

Rosemarie Cox, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 3:48pm on October 22, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born December 23, 1946, in Wapakoneta, OH, to the late Edmund and Laurina (Lee) Hamburger.  On July 16, 1977, she married Marvin E. Cox, who survives.

Also surviving are her children: Amy (Andy) Vance, Circleville, Bryan (Amanda) Cox, Urbana, Casey (Amanda) Cox, Waverly, Daniel (Billie) Cox. Eric Cox and Jonathan Cox, all of Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren; brothers Alan (Karen) Hamburger, Eddie (Mary) Hamburger, and Bill (Pearl) Hamburger; a sister Elizabeth (Ron) Addis; a sister-in-law Joan Hamburger; and many friends, including special friends Betsy Marsh, Jodi Porter, Jean Malone, Toya Valentine, Gretchen Steele and Marilyn Richter.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings: Ham (Margaret) Hamburger, Bud Hamburger, Bob (Carol) Hamburger; infant siblings: Margie Hamburger, Lee and Leroy Hamburger, and John Hamburger; her best friend Debbie McGee; and a special cousin Frank Wehrle.

Rose was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  She had worked at the former Schachne Dept. Store and worked for over 30 years as the Deputy Clerk of Courts for the Chillicothe Municipal Court.    She was a graduate of Catholic Central, Class of 1964.  She enjoyed reading, sun bathing, and babysitting her grandkids.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday, October 29, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. Jacob Stinnett, Celebrant.  Following cremation, inurnment will take place in St. Margaret Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, where a wake service will be conducted at 8pm.
