Rose Silcott

Rose Marie Silcott, 60, of Chillicothe, died 9:04 am, February 8, 2016, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a battle with cancer. She was born November 2, 1955 in Chillicothe to the late Chester E. and Marjorie L. Betts Smith. On March 2, 2005 she married Steven Silcott, who survives. Also surviving is her son, Jeremy (Tasha) Smith, of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Chestine (Mack) Smith and Rebecca Guysinger, both of Waverly, Nancy (Jim) Decker, of Bainbridge and Bonnie Davis, of Chillicothe; 3 brothers, Chester Smith and Jeff (Susan) Smith, both of Chillicothe and Ernie Smith, of Bainbridge; and a very special friend Jennie Jones. Mrs. Silcott worked in Quality Assurance at Glatfelter and was an officer with the Local 731 Union Hall. She was an avid reader and loved to knit. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday at Haller's.
