Rosanne Medlin

Rosanne Elizabeth (Feuers) Medlin, 65, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, OH April 4, 2018.   She was born to the late Lester and Anna Taaffe Feuers February 25, 1953 in Marshall, MO. She married Dr. Douglas Medlin December 29, 1979, who survives. Also surviving are her three children: Katie (Joe) Quick of Norwalk, CT, Erin Medlin and her fiancé, Andrzej Wojcieszynski of Philadelphia, PA, and Joseph Medlin of Columbus, OH; sister, Glenna Lawson of Columbia, MO; nieces Dee (Gevin) Elder, Paula Murphy; nephews Larry (Stacey) Hager, and Chris (Mindy) Hager, and many grand nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her special friends, Cookie (Thornton) Mora and her three children, Julia, Gabe, and Connor; Sherry Hamman; Marcia and Pat McNeill; Trish and Alvin Mares; and many other friends too numerous to name.   Rose was a graduate of Slater High School, class of 1971. She graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1975 and received her Master of Social Work from the University of Missouri in 1977. Rose moved to Chillicothe in 1977 to work at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She worked with many amazing people who were some of her dearest friends. Her life was dedicated to service to others. As a young woman, she was active in the Junior Civic League of Chillicothe and Easter Seals. As a mother, she took an active role in volunteering to help with her childrens' activities. She found great pride in her service to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Peter Church, and was a proud member of the PEO Sisterhood. Rose was a dedicated and loving wife and mother, and she could often be found cheering at her children's swim meets and listening to youth orchestra concerts. She enjoyed playing bridge with the "bridge girls", catching up with the ladies of the class of '71, cross-stitching, travelling to visit family, seeing new places, and spending time with her loved ones. She was looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild and the wedding of her daughter, Erin.   The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am, Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. Michael Hartge, Celebrant. The family will receive friends immediately following the Mass in the St. Peter Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Peter Church, 285 W.
