Rosa Raney, 91, of Chillicothe, passed away early Saturday morning, January 11, 2020 at National Church Residences in Chillicothe, following an extended illness.
She was born June 23, 1928 in Mainz, Germany, daughter of the late Karl and Rosa (Hammerschmidt) Kuttruff. On April 18, 1952, she married Calvin J. Raney, and together they shared nearly 52 years of marriage before his passing on March 6, 2004.
Rosa is survived by her brother-in-law, Philip (Norma) Raney, of Chillicothe; two sisters-in-law, Edna Raney, and Merle Raney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
In her free time, she enjoyed collecting various ceramics and knickknacks.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Chillicothe.
