Ronald Lee Reeves, 82, of Kingston, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 2, 2021 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was born April 29, 1938 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Marion and Florence (Owens) Reeves. On February 16, 1957, he married H. JoAnn (Lallier) Reeves, and together they shared over 50 years of marriage before her passing on November 9, 2007.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger (Cheryl) Reeves, and Ronald "Lee" (Karen) Reeves; four granddaughters and their spouses, Hollie (Greg Huth) Reeves, Erica (Bryan) Barker, Brittney (Brandon) Waller, and Karrie (Samuel) Short; great-grandchildren, Blayne, Olivia, Levi, and Mariah Barker, Wesley and Sylvie Huth, Aliyah, Hayden, and Camden Waller, and Everleigh and Maleigha Short; a brother, Keith (Nancy) Reeves; his longtime friend and companion, Josie Haynes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Betty Stewart, Barb Jones, and Jean Stonerock; and his two brothers, Roger Reeves and Richard Reeves.
Ronald worked at Kroger for 37 years before retiring as the Head Dairy Clerk. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family, and loved taking vacations with them to the beach.
A public graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Concord Church Cemetery. Guests in attendance are asked to wear facial coverings and to maintain social distancing requirements for the safety of the family.
