Ronald Jones

Ronald L. Jones, 66, of Chillicothe, died 4:40 pm, Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born July 28, 1944 in Chillicothe to the late Wilbur and Marcella Cooker Jones. On November 29, 1964 he married the former Sandra G. Templeton, who survives. Also surviving are his two daughters, Mikki (Jon) Berry and Tara (Keith) Knisley, both of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Jordan and Jarret Knisley; a step-grandson, Jon Berry III; three brothers, Leonard Jones, of Tennessee, and James (Nettie) and Thomas (Kathy) Jones, both of Chillicothe; a brother-in-law, Robert (Clara) Runyon, of Chillicothe; 2 nieces, Cathy Jones and Kandie (Roman) Pernell; and three nephews, Leonard Jr., Joseph (Diana), and James (Sharma) Jones Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Jones, and a grandmother, Josephine Detty Cooker. Mr. Jones retired from Chilpaco following 37 years of service. He was a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Mark Gray officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Health Foundation, 272 Hospital Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601 for the benefit of kidney and dialysis patients in his honor.
