Ronald Hines

Ronald L. Hines, 79, of Chillicothe, died at 5:09am July 4, 2018, in Westmoreland Place, following a brief illness.   He was born November 14, 1938, in Ross County to the late Orville and Martha Florence (Sweetland) Hines. On December 12, 1959, he married Gloria Jean Davis, who survives.   Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Chris (Carol) Hines; daughter Carrie Cutright, all of Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Richard Hines; and a great-granddaughter.   Ron was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1957. He served his country in the Air National Guard and the US Air Force, 121 st Tactical Fighter Squadron stationed in Etain, France. He retired from the Mead Paper Co. following 40 years of service and was a member of Local 731. The family would like to give special thanks to the medical staff of Westmoreland Place and 2A at Adena Regional Medical Center for their exceptional care.   In accordance with Ron's wishes, private graveside services will be held in Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
