Roman A. Laboranti Jr., 76, of Chillicothe, died 1:44 am, November 3, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital, Columbus following a month-long illness.
He was born May 12, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Roman A. and Margaret Hufnell Laboranti Sr. On October 6, 2016 he married his long-time companion Kimberly Gavin Laboranti, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Cecelia Betson and Bill (Emily) Betson, of Chillicothe and Sarah Betson, of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Noah, Isaac, and Andrew Betson, and Theo, August, Benjamin and Judah Sulzer; a sister, Diane Crozier; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Jerry Laboranti.
Mr. Laboranti operated his own automotive mechanic shop until retiring in 2000. He was a US Navy Vietnam War veteran.
Following cremation, a private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life.
