Roger Webb

Roger L. "Spider" Webb, Sr., 87, of Chillicothe, died 11:05 pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. He was born September 3, 1926 in Fayette Co. to the late Ira and Rosa Ditty Webb. On November 24, 1944 he married the late Louise A. Diehl, who died July 9, 2003. Survivors include his children, Roger (Cheryl) Jr., of Chillicothe and Cheryl (Leonard Smith), of Otway; 4 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Garnet Hiles. He was preceded in death by his wife; a sister, Juanita, and a brother John Webb. Mr. Webb was a World War II US Army veteran and retired as a millwright from Mead Paper Company after 42 years of service. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home, with his son Roger Webb Jr. officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Friday at Haller's.
