Roger Detty

Roger A. Detty, 62, of Ray, OH continued his journey into the afterlife on April 14, 2016. He was born March 23, 1954, to John P. Detty and Nancy (Meeker) Anderson. He left behind his wife Leah Detty, of Ray; son and daughter-in-law Chad (Katie) Detty, of Billings, Montana; daughters and sons-in-law Starr (Robert) Pugh, Wellston, OH, Brianna (Chris) Oranzi, Wallingford, PA; grandchildren: Lily, J.J., Devon, Shalea, Alizra and Dennis; his father and step-mother John (Julia) Detty; brothers and sisters-in-law David (Heidi) Detty, Grove City, Bill (Carol) Detty, Londonderry; sisters and brothers-in-law Janet (David) Gorrell, Londonderry, and Susie (Mike) Thompson, Terre Haute, IN; and he left behind many friends, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Johnny Detty and Jeffery Detty; and his mother Nancy Anderson. Roger was an 18 year cancer survivor and beat the odds, not once, but twice. This was due to the wonderful doctors at the James Cancer Center in Columbus. A special thank you goes out to Sharla Wells-DiGregorio, who helped him to find enjoyment out of life even though he was constantly in pain. To his special friends at Mizway, know he could not have went any other way out of this world. He left us all doing what he enjoyed so much, which was playing pool and hanging out with good friends. He will be greatly missed, so rack 'em up, babe and save a game for me! The family will receive friends from 5-8 Wednesday at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. At his request, cremation will follow at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
