Roger Dalrymple
April 16, 1941 — September 18, 2025
Roger A. Dalrymple, 84, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday afternoon, September 18, 2025 at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born April 16, 1941 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late O. Paul and Oma V. (Graves) Dalrymple. On July 18, 1964, he married his beloved wife, Jacqueline Kay (Diehl) Dalrymple, who preceded him in death March 17, 2025.
Surviving are their four beloved children, Tracy (Tiffany) Dalrymple, Troy (Sherry) Dalrymple, Terina (Johnny) Rose, and Travis Dalrymple; their grandchildren, Branden (Renee) Stephens, Tori (Jesse) Worf, Jacob Dalrymple, David Daily, Joshua Daily, Cassie (Dustin) Holsinger, Kathryn (Joshua Cox) Rose, Emma (Nathan Heppe) Rose, Lily Rose, and Atlantis Dalrymple; 13 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Merle Ray Dalrymple, Eddie Dalrymple, and Laura (Ralph) Rogers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, three grandchildren, Ashley Daily, Kayla Floyd, and Will Rose; his brothers Robert (Janet) Dalrymple, and Bill (Debbie) Dalrymple; his sister, Rebecca Letts; and sister-in-law, Sharon Dalrymple.
Roger was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1959. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, honorably serving the next 4 years until being discharged in 1963. He later became employed with DuPont, where he devoted more than 41 years of his life before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed attending services at Pleasant Ridge C.C.C.U and volunteering with his wife. One of his greatest joys was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Heartland Hospice and to all the individuals who assisted with his care over the last several months.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday evening from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the funeral home.
