It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Roger Lee Burggraf, 85, of Chillicothe, Ohio.
He was born in Marion, Ohio on August 21, 1940, the first born of Glendora (Pletcher) Burggraf and Richard Gilley Burggraf.
Roger was a semi driver beginning at the age of 17 and was currently driving for FedEx Freight of Chillicothe. He made many friends along his routes. When he returned home each night, he worked his farm with his wife, Sissy, caring for 30 horses and numerous other animals. He was also highly schooled in heating and air conditioning, having his own business in Circleville for many years. He loved being outdoors, spending many hours trail riding, camping, fishing, and flying. He received his private pilot’s license on June 12, 1964 at the age of 24 and enjoyed every minute of it. He was also a member of Brookside Church in Chillicothe.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Sissy; daughters, Sherral Boyer, of Grove City, and Kelly (Damian) Boos, of Summersville, South Carolina; sons, Chris (Jill) Tucker, of South Carolina, Keith (Angie) Burggraf, of Waverly, and Dustin (Krysta) Burggraf, of Lancaster; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; his sister, Janet Wittich; his brother, Gary (Betty) Burggraf, both of Circleville; close friends, Tom Anderson, Marty Slaughter, and Larry Alcorn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and beloved friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frieda Burggraf, his son, Jeff Burggraf, and grandson, Cory Burggraf.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor Ralph Hux officiating. Burial will follow in Dunkard Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 11:00am until the time of the service.
