Roberto Negron, Sr., 79, of Bronx, New York, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away Friday afternoon, September 23, 2016, at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio, following an extended illness. He was born in Puerto Rico on January 29, 1937, to the late Fransico and Delores (Colon) Negron. Surviving is his soul mate of 30 years, Lucia Gerena; his children, Minerva (Vincent) Beverly, Rosa Lozada, Olga Negron, Melvin (Brenda) Negron, Edwin Negron, Diana Negron, Eran (Brenda) Negron; his step-daughters, Damaris Lozada, and Carmen Rivera; 32 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and 21 brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents, Roberto was preceded in death by two children, Roberto Negron, Jr., and Awilda Negron, and also a step-son, Wilson Roman. Roberto was a member of the Corner Stone Church in Chillicothe for many years. He loved working as a mechanic and enjoyed playing the guitar. His family will remember him for many things, specifically the love he had for his van. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, September 26, 2016, at the Haller Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 11:00am until the time of the service Monday.
