Roberta Medert

Roberta Marie (Schobelock) Medert, 85, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, died 11:35 am, Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in the Forum Healthcare Center, Columbus, following a brief illness. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2009 in St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. William Hahn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 12-2 pm Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home. She was born March 17, 1923 in Chillicothe to Joseph F. and Bessie M. Reaster Schobelock. On August 23, 1947 she married Henry J. Medert, who died January 26, 2003. Survivors include her two daughters, Theresa D. (Jon) Kolp, of Powell, OH and Joyce A. (Barry) Huff, of Lewis Center, OH; her grandchildren, Gina, Steven, Erin, Lisa, Brent and Andrea; a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Huff; and a brother, Dean A. Schobelock, of Hillsboro.
