Roberta Hughes

Roberta K. Hughes, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 6:59pm March 6, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.   She was born February 22, 1949, in Lorain, OH to the late William Howard Taft and Goldie Agnes (Serfozo) Willis. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law: Kelly (Richard) Spindler, Chillicothe; and Stacy (Terrance) Hines, Frankfort, KY; grandchildren: Sydney (Kyle) Simmons, Iann (Emily) Hines, Grace Spindler, Shelby Hines, and Aiden Hines; great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Evelynne and Emberlyn; her brother and sister-in-law Kenneth (Jennifer) Willis; the father of her daughters and former husband, Donald Hughes, Jr., of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend since the first grade Patricia Smith. She was predeceased by her parents; a brother William "Sonny" Willis; and a sister Deloris Pennisten.   Roberta was a graduate of Huntington High School, Class of 1967. She took great pride in her family. Her favorite pastime was Facetiming every day with her great-grand babies. Her kitties also were her babies, and held a special place in her heart.   The family will receive friends from 1-3pm Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
