Robert J. Woodruff, 71, of Chillicothe, went peacefully to be with the Lord at 5:40am Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at his residence. He was born September 23, 1941, in Chillicothe to the late Robert C. and Eunice Mae (Sutherland) Woodruff. On November 15, 1960, he married the former Martha Marie Hollis, who preceded him in death on January 17, 1994. Bob is survived by his children: Robert C. Woodruff, Jr., of Frankfort; Robert Mobray, Chillicothe; Fred (Deana) Woodruff, Chillicothe; Tamora Woodruff, Chillicothe; his special friend Luann Slutz, Chillicothe; grandchildren: Deborah (Josh) Caviness, of Texas; Robert H. (Kim) Woodruff, Frankfort; Jessica M. Woodruff, of Arizona; Amanda (Philip) Helsel, Washington CH; Phillip (Marlo) Smith, of Germany; Billie Nicole (Zach) White, of New York; Ryan K. (Jessie) Woodruff, Chillicothe; Shelby Woodruff, Chillicothe; Brandon (Mandy) Moss, of Nebraska; Stefanie Moss, Chillicothe; great-grandchildren: Brendan, Brody, Trisha, Ashton, Aden, Bethany, Calie, Sabrina, Livia, Landon, Zoey, Keegan, Kiera, Tyler, Riley; sisters and brothers-in-law Leota Lawhorn, Margaret Miller, Martha (Keith) Dyer, Linda (Howard) Hutchinson; Bonnie (Mike) Hutchinson; a brother Tom Woodruff; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Deborah K. (Woodruff) Smith; a sister Ruth Rhoades; and a brother John Woodruff. Bob worked at the former US Shoe factory as a cutter then was a press operator at Chilpaco before his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Hilltop Mission Church. Bob was an avid collector. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 18, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Jared McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
