Robert Williams

November 20, 1940 — July 21, 2018

Robert D. Williams, 77, of Chillicothe passed from this world following a brief illness on July 21, 2018, while in the loving care of his daughter Cynthia.   Bob was born November 20, 1940 in Chillicothe, OH to the late Elizabeth Biery Williams and D. H. Williams. Bob is survived by his only child, Cynthia Williams Corey; grandchildren, Korey Williams, Seana Williams, and Michael Corey II; great-grandchildren, Olivia Hughes, Gavin Hughes, and Chase Corey; all of Chillicothe; a brother, Richard Williams, Kingston; sisters, Diane (Tom) Beckley, San Antonio, TX, Kathryn (Bob) Sigler, Chillicothe; and Becky Williams, Kingston.   He graduated in 1959 from Kingston High School, where he was the captain of the basketball team. After his graduation, Bob enlisted in the US Air Force, serving four years. He eventually joined the family wholesale business at his father's request, and invested many years service there.   Bob triumphed over every obstacle thrown his way. With the encouragement of his sisters Diane and Kathryn, he enrolled in business college, where he excelled in accounting. He was employed at Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) in Columbus, where he retired in 2002 after receiving multiple superior awards for his exceptional professional skills. Bob was a self taught computer expert and enjoyed sharing that knowledge with others. He was proud of his extended library of vintage movies and received much pleasure from them.   The family sincerely thanks Robert Henderson and Heartland Hospice for their professional care, love and support.   At Bob's request, there will be no funeral service or calling hours, however a private family celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
