Robert Wells

Robert "Rob" D. Wells, age 39, was reunited with his mother, Brenda and aunt Linda in heaven on Friday, September 8, 2017.  Rob was a graduate of Grove City High School class of 1996 and graduated from Columbus Culinary Institute with honors in the spring of 2013.  Rob received many culinary awards including top honors in regional competitions.  Rob was employed by many top restaurants and most recently, Caneel Bay Resorts in Saint John, US Virgin Islands and Worthington Hills Country Club.  Rob's passions in life revolved around family and food. He enjoyed sharing his culinary knowledge and teaching others to cook.  He always said cooking, "makes me feel alive".  Rob was able to touch the lives of everyone around him in a variety of ways especially with humor. Rob and Amanda S. E. Woods exchanged wedding vows before God, family and friends on Saturday, August 20, 2017. Rob was recently baptized at Heritage FWB Church.  Rob was preceded in death by grandparents, Kelly and Mable Stepp and Donald J. Wells; mother, Brenda Sue Wells; aunt, Linda Jordan.  Survived by grandmother, Patsy Wells; father, James B. Wells; step mother, Annette E. Wells; brother, James B. (Heather) Wells II; wife, Amanda S.E. Woods; step daughters, Madalyn and Lily; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vic and Jeaneen Moore and Paul and Penni Woods; sister-in-law, Meghan (Jake) McNichols; step brother, Jonathan Dellinger; step sister, Rebekah (Kyle) Fitzwater; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.  Visitation will be held at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 575 Obetz Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43207, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where funeral service will be held Wednesday 11 am.  Pastor Tim Stout and Pastor Chris Brown officiating.  Interment Obetz Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society or American Red Cross (Aide in the relief of destruction from hurricane damage in St. John) in Rob's memory.
