Robert Ward

Robert W. "Bill" Ward, 82, of Chillicothe, formerly of Van Wert, OH, died at 7:12am, Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. He was born December 31, 1930, in Ross Co., to the late Ben Milton and Emma Pauline (DeNight) Ward. Surviving are his sisters Helen Malone and Sally Dray, both of Chillicothe; his daughter Jennifer; grandchildren: Levi, Casey, Kayla and Derrick; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law Sharon Ward, of Arizona; Glenna Ward and Marcella Ward, both of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by his son Ben Ward; daughter Vickie Lynn Ward; his parents; and 3 brothers. Bill was a retired truck driver and school bus driver. He served his country as a medic in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a former member of the AMVETS, Post 58; and the VFW. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery Soldiers Square at the convenience of the family.
