Robert Viney

Robert Eugene Viney, 86, of Chillicothe, died 4:39 pm, Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born May 7, 1930 in Chillicothe to the late William Harold and Dorothy Dodd Powell Viney. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Powell; a foster son, Kyle Smith; a sister, Sylvia Smith, Troy, OH and a brother, Charles Viney, Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by five brothers, William Harold Jr., Russell, Wilber, Sidney and Vernon Viney; and three sisters, Katherine Patterson, Betty Reid, and Veda Hurley.   Bob retired from Basic Construction Materials as a block plant operator, with over 25 years of service. He was a US Army veteran.   Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Elder Larry Grant officiating. Graveside services will be held in Mt.
