Robert E. Uhrig Robert E. Uhrig, 73, of Chillicothe, departed this life 12:05 am, Tuesday, January 08, 2008, in the Adena Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Newell officiating. Burial will follow in Huntington Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm Thursday, and 2 hours prior to the service at Haller's He was born December 3, 1934 in Ross Co. to Edwin and Lydia Mae Grubb Uhrig. On March 29, 1957 he married Marilyn J. Walls, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Steve (Reva) Uhrig, Mark (Joy) Uhrig, Christy (Mike) Leslie, Tim (Pam) Uhrig, and Sarah (Todd) Alley; eight grandchildren and one on the way; a great-grandchild; brothers, Ron (Juanita) Uhrig and Larry (Betty) Uhrig; a sister, Judy (Jerry) Yeater; and several nieces; nephews; friends; and loved ones. Mr. Uhrig was a retired school teacher having taught 23 years in the Union-Scioto School District, and 7 in the Zane Trace School District. He served as Dean of the Christian Union Bible College in Greenfield, OH. He was a devoted member of Bethel Chapel Christian Union Church. He held many positions in the Christian Union organization during 40 years of service.
