Robert Thomas

Robert F. "Bob" Thomas, 70, of Chillicothe, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Westmoreland Place, following a brief illness. He was born June 1, 1943 to the late Robert R. and Helen M. Thomas. On December 31, 1966 he married the former Etta F. McCutcheon who left his side, to be with Jesus, February 24, 2012. Survivors include his sons, Robert D. (Angela) Thomas, Adelphi and Gregory A. (Jodi) Thomas, Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Bobby, Lychelle and Chris Thomas, Adelphi, and Sarah (Dustin Fairchild), Skysea and Dayland Thomas, Chillicothe; a very special great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace Thomas; a niece; a nephew; and a devoted brother-in-law, Jim Angus. Bob was looking forward to the February birth of his great-grandson, Aiden Fairchild. Bob helped raise Greg P. Chess, Ft. Wayne, IN and Jeni Chess Lepper, Spencerville, IN, who will forever be a special part of our family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Thomas. Bob was a 1961 graduate of Centralia High School and received his master's degree in education from Xavier University. He retired from Frito-Lay and Tractor Supply Company. A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm Monday at Three Locks Bible Christian Church, followed by a Celebration of Life in the fellowship center. Private graveside services will be held in Green Summit Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
