Robert E. Taylor passed from this life to the next on March 4, 2018 after an extended illness. Bobby was born on February 2, 1950 (yes, Groundhog Day, and every year we would ask him if he saw his shadow which always made him chuckle). His parents were the late Harold and Betty (Stevens) Taylor. Bob is survived by: brothers Archie and Terry of Chillicothe, a sister Sharon (Dana) Knab of Chillicothe, a niece Jamie (Shane) Smith and their children, Siena and Sterling of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Aunts Donna Adkins, Shirley Taylor, and Carol Taylor of Chillicothe, and a great-niece, Ashley Knab. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, aunts, uncles, an infant brother, Michael Allen Taylor and a nephew, Michael Edward Knab. Bob was a graduate of Southeastern High School. He had previously served proudly as an EMT on both the Harrison and Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department squads and assisted other townships as needed. He was at his best when helping those that needed him most and was able to provide confident comfort to those who waited anxiously for news of the condition of their loved ones that he helped bring to the hospital on squad runs. There will be no calling hours and a private burial will be held later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to the family or to the funeral home to help assist with any expenses. Death is not the end of life; it is only the gateway to eternity.
