Robert Streitenberger

Robert E. Streitenberger, 72, of Kingston, died at 4:24pm March 24, 2016, at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born August 11, 1943, in Columbus, OH, to the late Wilburt and Ruby Spindler Streitenberger. He is survived by his sons Kevin (Laura) Streitenberger and Ryan Streitenberger and Ryan's fiancée Jessica, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Haley, Justin and Joseph Streitenberger and Leyliana Thompson; and a sister Mary Ellen Martin. Mr. Streitenberger retired in 2005 from the Ohio Department of Corrections where he worked in the accounting department. He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and Ohio University. Bob served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Kingston United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 757, AMVETS Post 4 and VFW Post 108. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7pm at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow. Military graveside services will be conducted in Greenlawn Cemetery Soldiers Square at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any credible veteran's organization of the donor's choosing.
