Robert Stewart

Robert J. "Buddy" Stewart, Sr., 83, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 5:47pm Monday, April 1, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born December 2, 1929, in West Virginia to the late Sylvester and Cloise Acord Stewart. On January 31, 1948, he married the former Gail June Park, who preceded him in death on July 20, 2010. He is survived by his son Robert J. "Butch" (Jody Edwards) Stewart, Jr., of Chillicothe; granddaughters Tammy Jo (Kevin) Free, Savannah, GA; Pam (Brett) Hurles; and Angie Stewart, all of Chillicothe; great-grandchildren: Kaylyn Hurles and Tyler Stewart Free; a special little friend Kaylee Sever; a brother William "Bunk" Stewart; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Neil (Bea) Park; and Joan (Gary) Foll. He was predeceased by his brother Lewis "Buzz" Stewart. Buddy was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1948. He retired from CHILPACO where he worked in the powerhouse and as an electrician. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and participated in numerous Work & Witness Mission Trips. He was devoted to his family and his church. Buddy also served on the Board of Directors for the CHILPACO/Homeland Credit Union. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home with Chaplain Bruce Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
