Rev. Robert S. Snyder, 61, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 11:25am Monday, November 7, 2005, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born October 9, 1944, in Zanesville, OH to the late Robert H. and Coleen Moody Snyder. On April 16, 1966, he married the former Judith K. Harry, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter and son-in-law Tamatha (Jeff) Olsen; son and daughter-in-law Robert (Kris) Snyder; grandchildren Victoria and Jeff Olsen, all of Chillicothe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Sharon (George) Grimes; Sandy Harry; Gale Harry, all of Zanesville; and Mike (Crick) Harry, of Mesquite, TX; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, his step-father Raymond Hoodlet; father-in-law and mother-in-law Earl and Neva Harry; and a brother-in-law Dale Harry. Rev. Snyder graduated from the Nazarene Bible College in 1979 and was ordained in 1981. He pastored several Nazarene Churches including churches in Wellston, Chillicothe, Waverly, Columbus, Lima, and South Point, OH, as well as Oil City, PA. Prior to his ministry, he worked as a machinist, a tool and die maker, and a model maker for Essex Wire, Western Electric, and Honeywell. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, November 11, at the Westside Church of the Nazarene, 730 Orange St., with Rev. Robert Styers and Dr. Richard Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Adena Hospice, 111 W.
