Robert Shanton

Robert L. Shanton, 62, of Chillicothe, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at his home. He was born March 12, 1955, in Chillicothe to the late Jay Vernon and Mary Kathyrn (Fogle) Shanton. On December 12, 2000, he married Mary (McCambridge) Shanton, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Chris (Anna) Shanton, Patricia Shanton, Mike (Shelley) Causey, and Carolyn Delong, all of Chillicothe, and Joan (Jevan) Jacobs, of Circleville; their grandchildren, Colt and Cadee Causey, Ty and Gabe Shanton, George, Grace, and Gwen Jacobs, Andrew and Jordyn Delong, and Colton Hosler; and his two siblings, Donna (Don) Hansford, and James (Tracey) Shanton, both of Chillicothe. Bob retired from the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe as a case worker following 38 years of employment. In his free time, he enjoyed throwing darts in the dart league, being outdoors, listening to music, and loved to ride his golf cart around the neighborhood. A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 1 Church St. Kingston, OH 45644, with Pastor Barry Bennett officiating.
