Robert Lee Mischal Jr., 51, of Chillicothe, died 5:19 pm, Friday, September 25, 2015, at the Ohio State University James Cancer Center, following an extended illness. He was born April 15, 1964 in Chillicothe, to the late Robert L. and Mary E. "Poogie" Valentine Mischal. On September 15, 1990 he married the former Judy Morrison, who survives. Also surviving is his son, Jalen Mischal, Chillicothe; three sisters, Robin Mischal and Sue (Rev. Dr. J. Troy) Gray, both of Chillicothe and LeAnn Mischal, Atlanta, GA; his mother-in-law, Mildred Morrison; sister-in-law Gail (Kerry) Hester; brother-in-law, Mark Morrison; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends including a lifelong buddy, Rich Winfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Melvin Morrison. Mr. Mischal was a minister and active with several ministries at Zion Baptist Church. He retired from the State of Ohio Department of Corrections and was a 1982 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was known to many as "Coach" spending much of his time coaching various sports. He always encouraged his kids to push a little harder and go a little farther. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Monday at Zion Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. J. Troy Gray officiating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the OSU James Cancer Center.
