Robert Wesley Jones, 65, of Chillicothe, died 9:35 am, September 17, 2018, at his home, following a yearlong battle with cancer.
He was born December 27, 1952 in Ross Co. to the late Burton and Birdie Gleason Jones. On May 6, 1972 he married Marilyn Lynn Bennett, who survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Robbie (Patty) Jones and Brian (Ronnie) Jones, both of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Gage and Cassidy Jones, Chelsea Crabtree, Braedon, Talon and Jett Jones; two sisters, Kathy (Jerry) Kellough and Ruby Jones, both of Chillicothe; two brothers, Tom (Birdie) Jones and Rick (Kathy) Jones, both of Chillicothe, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Allen, and Larry Jones; and a sister, Darlene Jones.
Mr. Jones retired after 39 years of service with Cummins Bridgeway. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Loyal Order of Moose, and the Sons of American Legion. He enjoyed deer hunting and was a Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University sports fan.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday at Haller's.
