Robert Hensley

Robert E. (Bob) Hensley, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life to the next at his residence Monday, January 25, 2016. He was 79 years old. He was born in Jackson, Ohio, September 4, 1936, to the late John Hensley and Evelyn Garey Hensley Osborne. He was raised by his mother and step-father, the late Floyd Osborne. On May 26, 1956, he married the love of his life, Mary R. Israel who preceded him in death on July 1, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Hensley and Helen Hensley Pennington. Surviving are daughters, Laura (Leon) Weisenberger, Beth Hensley and Jana Miller; grandchildren J. Jason (Lisa) Weisenberger, Karl (Cassie) Weisenberger, Joshua (Natalie) Weisenberger, Kevin Weisenberger, Andrew Weisenberger, Mary Weisenberger, India Naas, and Daniele (Cody Clark); great-grandchildren, Joseph, Alexis, Lillian, Lucas, Logan, Aamiah, Brennan, Caidenn, Dalen, Eiann Weisenberger, Taegan Snyder, Aaliyah Clark, Stephanie (Michael) Brown, Amanda (Christopher) Myers, and Keith Leeth Jr.; great great-grandchildren Peyton, Whitley, Abreigh (deceased) Brown, Gunnar and Sawyer Myers. Bob is also survived by his brother Lloyd Hensley, nephews Weldon Scott and Garry Hensley; and niece Virginia (Ginger) Hensley. Bob was a member of Lodge #624 F & AM, Aladdin Shriners, Chillicothe Evening Lion's Club and the Phoenix House. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 30, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 Friday, at Haller's, where a Lions service will be held at 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chillicothe Evening Lion's Club, 3 Lions Dr., Chillicothe, Ohio, 45601.
