Robert Gilroy

Robert V. Gilroy Jr. Robert V. Gilroy Jr., 52, of Chillicothe, died 6:45 am, Friday, July 7, 2006 in his home following an extended illness. He was born December 30, 1953 in South Bend, IN to Robert V. and Helen Brady Gilroy Sr. In July of 1978 he married Jennifer G. Thompson, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Caroline Thompson Gilroy, at home; a sister, Kathleen (Tim) Murray, of Granger, IN; three aunts, Julianne Belunas, Ann Unwin, and Loretta Briedis, all of South Bend, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Gilroy retired from the Upper Arlington Public Library in August of 2005. He received his undergraduate degree in History from the University of Notre Dame, and his Masters Degree in Library Science from the Indiana University. He was a member of the Ohio Library Council and Walnut St. United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm, Sunday, July 9, 2006, in the Walnut St. United Methodist Church, Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the graveside service.
