Robert Diehl

Robert L. Diehl, 83, of Chillicothe, died 8:07 am, Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Heartland of Chillicothe.   He was born June 7, 1933 in Chillicothe to the late Eugene and Violet Evans Diehl. Survivors include four children, Becky, Steve, Bill and Mike; three grandchildren, Kate, Eric and Leslie; nine great-grandchildren; a niece and several nephews; and the mother of his children, Marie Meeker Diehl. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Donald and William Diehl and Mary Jo Jacob.   Bob attended the Jefferson Ave. CCCU and was an original member of the Igniters Car Club. He coached the VFW Teener Baseball team and enjoyed owning, racing, and watching Standard Bred horses and was a Buckeye fan.  He retired from Mead Paper Co., owned and operated Page News, and worked for Duffy Electric.   The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Private graveside services will be held Friday in Greenlawn Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
