Robert Cottrill

Robert Marvin Cottrill, 34, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Monday night, August 28, 2017, at the Mount Carmel East Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born February 17, 1983, in Chillicothe to Robert A. and Patricia F. (Irvin) Cottrill. His life partner of 10 years, Kevin Parks, survives. Also surviving is his sister, Erin Cottrill, and his niece, Leanore Fay Park; both of Chillicothe; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Robert attended Southeastern High School, Class of 2001. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, indulging in good food and music, and he loved to read. He was an extremely happy, vibrant person who loved life and made friends with everyone he met. His family and friends will forever cherish his contagious laugh and the wonderful memories they shared together. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Caldwell Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Haller Funeral Home to help with expenses.
