Rick Olson

Rick E. Olson, 51, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Thursday, November 4, 2010, at 7:59am in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born December 29, 1958, in Chillicothe to Ed and Lexie (Burton) Olson.  On November 26, 1978, he married Amy F. Weese, who survives.   Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Jonathan (Bobbi) Olson; daughter Rikki Rinehart; daughter and son-in-law Erin (Anthony) Clark; his mother Lexie Olson; his father Ed Olson and Clara Spetnagel; grandchildren Bryce and Ethan Rinehart; Kyle, Caylee and Jonathan Olson; and Alexis Clark; his sister Sheila Rowland, all of Chillicothe; his nephew Qua (BreAnna) Rowland, of Columbus; his mother-in-law Marcella Weese; sisters-in-law Linda (Larry) Heshiser; Diana Graves; Joyce Weese; Glenna (Gene) Thompson; Nina Weese-Meyer; Sallie Duane Irvin; a brother-in-law Glenn Weese II; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his father-in-law Glenn Weese.  Rick also leaves behind his favorite pet, "Charlie."   Rick retired from DuPont in 2004.  He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1977.  Rick was an avid Cleveland Browns, Ohio State and Fantasy Football fan.  While his health permitted, he enjoyed bowling in several leagues and tournaments in Chillicothe and had rolled several 300 games.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren including helping with their sports activities.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, November 8, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Brady officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call Sunday from 2-5pm at Haller Funeral Home.
