Richard Keith Well, 93, of Chillicothe, died at 10:09pm, December 14, 2025, at his residence, following an extended illness.
He was born July 30, 1932, in Pomeroy, OH, to the late Sanford and L. Florence (Dean) Well. On February 26, 1956, he married the former Barbara Jean Lallier, who preceded him in death on December 28, 2014.
Surviving are his children: Richard (Tracy) Well, Jr., of Bainbridge, Kathy Patrick, of Chillicothe, and Mike (Janet) Well, of Chillicothe; grandchildren: R.K. (Delilah) Well III, Barbara Patrick, Mick (Cedar) Well, Zach Well, Jake (Sammie) Well, Adam (Maggie) Well; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Kaylee, Josh, Jaxson, Devon, Luke, Bryn, Aryanna, Lauryn, Aspen, Brixton and Griffin; great-great-grandchildren: Emma, Averi and Cole; sisters Virginia Brooks and Martha Lutz; and brothers Roy (Beverly) Well and Rod (Peggy) Well. In addition to his parents and wife Jean, he was predeceased by siblings: Genevieve Brooks, Gladys Gilkey and Ralph (Dorothy) Well.
Mr. Well was a graduate of Athens High School. He then retired from the US Air Force following 20 years of service as a jet engine maintenance mechanic. He then worked 20 years for GE Jet Propulsion Plant in Peebles in the same role. He was a dedicated family man.
His funeral service will be held at 1pm Monday, December 22, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery, Bourneville. The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm Monday at the funeral home.
