Richard Wardell Jr., 59, of Londonderry, died 8:10 pm Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the VA Medical Center-Chillicothe, following a battle with cancer.
He was born May 6, 1963 in Ross Co. to Richard Wardell Sr. and Barbara A. Doyle Wardell, who survive. Also surviving is a sister, Jo Ellen Morgan, of Beaver. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Robin Lynn Hafner and Rhoda Jane Wardell.
Richard was employed by Howmet Aerospace and a US Navy veteran. He was a member of the VFW Post 108 and Eagle Aerie 600, and was a life member of AMVETS Post 4.
Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, and Pastor Mitch Salyers, will be held in 10:00 am Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in Soldiers Square, of Greenlawn Cemetery.
