Richard Tippie

Richard Lee Tippie, 92, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 30, 2022 at Heartland Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
He was born in Chillicothe on August 25, 1930, son of the late Lewis and Emma (Sands) Tippie. On July 27, 1957, he married the love of his life, Gretchen L. (Musselman) Tippie, who survives.
Richard was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1949. He went on to join the United States Air Force, where he honorably served from 1950-1952. Upon his return from the military, he obtained his Associates Degree. He later began working for the Mead Paper Company as a salesman and retired in 1990. Richard was a longtime member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, and loved spending time with his wife.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery.
