Richard Southworth

Richard V. Southworth, 86, of Trenton, OH, life long resident of Chillicothe, died 9:00 am, in his home, following an extended illness. He was born January 5, 1923 in Chillicothe to Carroll J. and Margaret M. Parker Southworth. On July 10, 1943 he married Irene E. Miller, who preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Richard V. (Marilyn) Southworth Jr. and Judy (Chuck) Fadden; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Mr. Southworth was a World War II US Air Force veteran. He retired from the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe, with 43 years of service, as a recreational therapist. He was a member of St. Mary Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 29, 2009 in St. Mary Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. The family will receive friends following the service at the St. Mary Family Life Center.
