Richard Netter

Richard W. "Rick" Netter, 60, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord at 1:10pm April 18, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital following an extended illness. He was born June 11, 1955, in Chillicothe, to the late Wetus K. and Esther M. Bunch Netter. On August 26, 2012, he married the former Karen Carter, who survives. Also surviving are his children: Randy Brown, Aleah Netter, Ashley Netter and Brock Netter, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Jama', Kelsee, Lindon and Deegan; his sister Monalee (Bo) Cosby, of Ray; his brother Tony Netter, of Chillicothe; and his favorite niece Jalyn Cosby. Rick was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1973. He retired in 2009 from the US Postal Service following 35 years of service as a carrier. Following his retirement, he also worked part-time for both Chillicothe Floral and Haller Funeral Home, until his health prevented him from doing so. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church. Rick will be remembered for his outgoing, fun-loving, caring personality and contagious smile. He was loved by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, April 22, at Zion Baptist Church, 84 S. Clinton Rd., with Dr. Rev. J. Troy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 11-1pm Friday at the church.
