Richard Koch

Visitation :  11-1 Tuesday Funeral : 1:00 pm Tuesday Richard L. Koch, 76, of Chillicothe, died 12:05 pm, Friday, December 10, 2010, at the Kettering Hospital, following an extended illness.   He was born November 16, 1934 in Rarden, OH to the late John and Romie Ross Koch.   On January 14, 1957 he married the former Joyce I. Stubbs, who survives.   Also surviving is his son, Richard (Cherol) Koch Jr., of Dayton, OH; four grandchildren, Adam (Vikki) Koch, Ericka (Elias) Ponte, Ean Koch, and Kristin (Tony) Whitt; four sisters, Helen, Mary Jane, Juanita, and Dixie; and four brothers, Robert, Gordon, Charles and Paul.   He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth.     Mr. Koch retired from CSX Railroad as a conductor and yard master following 46 years of service.   He was member of the Railroad Retirees and enjoyed volunteering for over 10 years at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.     Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Rick Terry officiating.   Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden.   Friends may call 11-1 Tuesday at Haller's.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co.
