Richard Allen "Dick" Holt, 64, of Chillicothe, died 7:14 am, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born June 13, 1957 in Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Brownfield and Sadie Temple. Survivors include his spouse, Jeanie Holt; a step-son, Brian McCray; 6 siblings, Floyd (Wanda) Holt, Pam Warth, Roger Holt, Kandy Mead, Brenda (Greg) Eblin, and Marsha (Billy) Foringer; numerous close extended family members; and his 11 beloved dogs. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Keith McCray; and 4 siblings, Sheila Woodruff, David "Rick" Holt, and David and Randy Brownfield.
Dick was a US Army veteran, retired from Eastern Avenue Lumber, and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed playing music, especially at the Paint Valley Jamboree.
Following cremation, the family will hold private services in his honor.
