Richard Graves

Richard M. Graves Richard M. Graves, 53, of Chillicothe, died 12:45 pm, Sunday, May 20, 2007, in his home, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 24, 2007 in the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. David Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 pm Wednesday at Haller's. He was born October 19, 1953 in Ross Co. to Charles and Georgia Tackett Graves, who survive. He was raised in Tallahassee, FL, and returned to Chillicothe when he was 18. Also surviving is his wife, Becky A. Downs Graves; two children, Theresa D. Graves, of Athens, OH and Richard W. Graves, of Chillicothe; three step-children, Adam A. (Jennifer M.) Young, Shawn M. Young, and Rickey R. Young Jr., all of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Emma, Caden, Parker, and Quinton Young; a sister, Charma Blaylock, of Tallahassee FL; and a nephew, Charles Blaylock. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tealie and M. C. Tackett and Richard Earl and Emma Graves. Mr. Graves retired from the Ross Co. Engineering Dept. as a heavy equipment operator, following 30 years of service. He was a member and former officer of the Sons of the American Legion and a member of the AMVETS.
