Richard Albrecht

Richard "Rick" Thomas Albrecht, 64, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at the OSU James Cancer Center, following a courageous 8-year battle with cancer.

He was born July 2, 1957, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, son of the late Edgar and Esther (Friebis) Albrecht. On June 7, 2003, he married Marsh L. (Nance) Albrecht, who survives.

Also surviving are two step-sons, Jeffrey (Heather) Moore, and Larry (Jennifer) Moore; grandchildren, Isabella, Jordan, Nicole, Savannah, Jeffrey Jr., Destiny, and Nicholas; his sister, Barbara (John) Vance; two brothers, John (Rene) Albrecht, and Fred Albrecht; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Montgomery, and a sister-in-law, Debbie Albrecht.

Rick dedicated 20 years of his life to the United States Army, serving from 1975-1995 before retiring. During his enlistment, he spent time in Germany, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and numerous other locations across the globe.

Military Honors for the retiree will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Chillicothe, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard at a future date.
