Rebecca Jane (Proper) Jones, 64, of Columbus, died at 9:33p.m. Sunday, January 5th, 2025 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, OH.
She was born July 18th, 1960, in Chillicothe, to Pete and the late Daisy Proper. In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughter Stefanie (Matt) Knisley, of Chillicothe; Step-Children Audrey (Colton) Pickens, of Columbus; Rachel (Adam) Jones-Yang and Robert Jones of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren: Elliana and Ayla Knisley, and Jerry and Larry Pickens; five sisters: Sheila Hoffhines, Brenda (Wayne) Barker and Donna (Randy) Shoemaker all of Londonderry; Phyllis (Jack) Snyder of Piketon and Carolyn (Mitch) Holton of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; her work family at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital; and special friends Colin and Laura Heasley. She also leaves behind her two cats, Izzy and Lucy, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law William "Bill" Amlin.
Becky was a 1978 graduate of Southeastern High School and worked in the billing department for several medical offices over the years. Most recently, she worked in the Emergency Department at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, where her co-workers described her as being the "glue" that held the team together and always had a smile on her face.
An open house celebration willbe held from 2pm - 5pm, Saturday July 19, at the Londonderry Community Center, 4923 Vigo Rd., Londonderry, OH 45647.
