Ray Hamlin

Ray L. Hamlin, 80, of Chillicothe, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born April 17, 1931, in Whitney, KY, to the late Frank and Doxie Hamlin. On September 28, 1953, he married the former Patty Ann Knox, who survives. Also surviving are their children: Michael Hamlin, of California; Jeanette Barnhill, Somerset, OH; Corey Hamlin, Circleville, OH; grandchildren: Robbie, Josh, Kayla, Hunter, and Lacie; great-grandchildren Brice and Carson; a sister Margaret Newlan, of Chillicothe; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a total of 10 brothers and sisters. Ray retired from American Electric Power (AEP) in 1994 as a field supervisor. He served his country in the US Army from 1951 until 1953 and in the Army Reserves until 1959. He enjoyed boating, fishing and camping. Following cremation services, the family will receive friends Monday, July 25 from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
