Randy Vernatter

Randy M. Vernatter, 58, of Chillicothe, passed away at his home at 4:07am, April 22, 2025, following an extended battle with cancer.
He was born August 17, 1966, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Charles G., Sr. and Mary K. (Burton) Vernatter. On March 22, 2008, he married the former Brenda S. Adams, who survives.
Also surviving are his son Randy Jacob Vernatter and fiancée Sierra Jordan, of Chillicothe; step-son Anthony (Lisa) Berry, of Xenia; step-daughter Betty (Ernie) Johnson, of Greenfield; granddaughters Emmy and Addy Jordan; step-grandchildren Michael and Samantha Berry, and Landon Johnson; siblings Jack Vernatter, Olive Hill, KY, Don (Cindy) Vernatter, Cincinnati, Tammy (Steve) Stevenson, West Union, OH, Carolyn (Ray) Thacker, New Bloomington, OH, Sherry (Mike) Ranly and Sandy Boling, both of Manchester, OH, sister-in-law Alice Vernatter, Williamsburg, OH, brother-in-law Bob Bowen, Manchester; and numerous nieces and nephews. Randy was predeceased by his parents; siblings Barb (Paul) Ailshire, Charles G. Vernatter, Jr., Charlotte Vernatter, Marlene Bowen, Judy K. (Floyd) Willis, sister-in-law Lou Vernatter; brother-in-law Dean Boling; nephew Ryan Ailshire and a niece Samantha Jameson.
Randy was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. He worked as a horseman and farmer, and enjoyed hunting, especially racoon hunting. He was a member of the Fox Knob Coon Hunters Club and the Paint Creek Coon Hunters Club.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30am Monday, April 28, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor Mitch Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5pm at the funeral home.
