Randy Eugene Schobelock

Randy E. Schobelock, 75, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born on April 22, 1950, to the late James and Cora (Diehl) Schobelock. In the year of 1975, he was united in marriage to Vicki (Weaver) Schobelock, who survives.

Also surviving is son; Shawn (Jennifer) Schobelock; grandchildren, Jazzy (Andy) Pierce, Drake (Sylvia) Helton, Ezekial (Amaris) Schobelock; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Lauren, and Lexi Pierce; Great-Great grandchild, Ryker Pierce; sisters, Jennifer Hines, Judy (Robert) Harmon, Karen Darby, Pam (Marvin) Coppock, best friend Jim Sevens, and his cat he adored, Cali, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, James Schobelock Jr., Richard Schobelock, Clifford Schobelock, Jack Schobelock, and sister, Patricia Elliott.

Randy worked for the Chillicothe Police Department and Chillicothe VA, between the years of 1974 - 1981. In 1981, he started at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant, where he ultimately retired in 1998. After retirement, Randy wanted to stay busy and chose to work with the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.

He was a member of the Ross County Conservation League, Fraternal Order of Police, NRA, and volunteered with the American Red Cross, where he donated 19 gallons of blood. While Randy tried to stay busy, he enjoyed spending most of his time with his grandkids.

The family would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to Randy’s caregivers at Adena ICU, Bristol Village Rehabilitation, his physical therapist, Cindy Jordan, and his home health nurse, Savannah Teeters.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 1:00pm, at the Haller Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Michael J.
