Randy V Austin

Randy V. Austin, 71, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on Saturday morning, November 8, 2025 at Hospice of Central Ohio, following an extended illness.

He was born on October 27, 1954, in Chillicothe, Ohio; the beloved son of Christina (Austin) Duncan and Garrett Duncan.

Surviving are his siblings Renee Meeks, Michelle Ivory, Christy Beverly, Denise Duncan, Greg Duncan; aunt’s Lucille Lee and Nedra Valentine, and uncles Desi & June Lee; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members. and a very close friend, M.

Randy was known for his unforgettable and infectious laughter. He attended vocational school for culinary arts in Jackson, Ohio, where he discovered his love for cooking. He spent many of his years living in Columbus and found great joy working as a chef, especially during his time at Ohio Bell and the Sheraton Hotel.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home from 12:00pm-1:00pm. A celebration of Randy's life will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home.

The family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
