Randolph Digges

Randolph E. Digges, Jr., 66, of Chillicothe, died at 4:30pm Monday, August 28, 2006, in the VA Medical Center Chillicothe following an extended illness. He was born June 16, 1940, in Chillicothe to the late Randolph E., Sr. and Katherine Saffin Digges. Surviving are his wife, Judith A. (Cunningham) Digges; son and daughter-in-law Randolph E. III (Lori) Digges, North Olmstead, OH; daughter Susan C. Bowen; daughter and son-in-law Laura A. (Jon) Hall, all of Chillicothe; grandsons: Randolph E. IV and Tyler H. Digges; John Randolph and Justin A. Bowen; and William R. Hall; brothers and sisters-in-law John (Donna) Digges and William (Lynn) Digges, all of Chillicothe; sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth (Dan) Churchill, Miami, FL; and his step-mother Ruth Skeens, Chillicothe. Mr. Digges retired from DuPont in 1998 following 33 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Prior to his illness, he was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and belonged to the Brotherhood. He was also a member of Scioto Lodge No. 6, F & AM, and the American Legion, Post 62. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7pm Friday at Haller Funeral Home, where a Masonic Funeral will be held at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
