Roger J. "Jack" Imber, Jr., 65, of Huntington, WV, died unexpectedly September 29, 2007, in Pleasant Hill Nursing Home, Piketon, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, October 5, in the Grace Episcopal Church, Defiance, OH, with Rev. Collins Asonye officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Defiance VFW, Post 360 will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, OH. At his request calling hours will not be observed. Jack was born August 10, 1942, in Defiance, OH to the late Roger J., Sr. and Dorothy Irene (Bock) Imber. Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law Barbara (Giovani) Capone, Huntington Beach, CA; twin daughters Cheryl (John) Corrigan, San Clamente, CA; Chari (Jack) Woodman, Costa Mesa, CA; Bethany Imber and Alicia Imber, both of St. Mary, OH; son and daughter-in-law Matthew J. (Diane) Imber, Anaheim Hills, CA; son Jeffery J. Imber, Cleveland, OH; grandchildren Christian and Megan Imber; his former wife, with whom he remained friends, Nancy McBride, of Huntington Beach, CA; sister and brother-in-law Charl (Jack) Crosley, Chillicothe; niece and nephew Cassandra Carol "Cee Cee" (Scott) Bryant, Chillicothe; great-nephew, Tyler A. Bryant, Chillicothe; and a special cousin, who was very close to him, Walter B. (Shirley) Arnett, of Delphos, OH. He was predeceased by an infant son, Roger John "Johnny" Imber, III. Jack was a graduate of Defiance High School, Class of 1961. He served his country in the Air Force from 1961 until 1965. He worked as a draftsman in the construction industry and as a restaurant manager. He volunteered for many years at the Huntington Veterans Affairs Medical Center as well as the Parkersburg VAMC, having received commendations from the Governor for his efforts. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, Barboursville, WV and the AmVets.
